 *I am tracking September/October regular season attendance. Since I am doing it, thought I would give you a daily update and compare it to 2014 & 2015. I am using those years, because 2014 was when I started tracking attendance on the spreadsheet. I really wish MLB would go back to tracking fans in the stands rather than tickets sold. Does not account for no-shows and skews numbers. The 2016 numbers will be updated daily and the total and average is only based on the number of home games played up to date.
  • 2014: 9 Home Games / 333,313 = Total Home Attendance / Average = 37,035 per game.
  • 2015: 15 Home Games / 434,032 = Total Home Attendance / Average = 28,935 per game.
  • 2016: 17 Home Games / 241,386 = Total Home Attendance / Average = 24,139 per game.
