Pirates beat the Phils 6-5 in a strange game.  Phils scored 2 unearned runs early then scored one in the 9th on a walk, walk, HPB, and walk.  Pirates scored 4 in the bottom of the 8th with the subs coming through.  The good:  McCutchen and Snider both had 2 hits and Cumpton went 4 innings giving up 2 hits and no earned runs.  The bad: Andrew Lambo went 0-4 as the DH and is now hitting .074.

Post game-Hurdle on Kinney--“He has a passion for the game that’s probably unparalleled in that clubhouse,” said Hurdle. “You look at his age, his resume. He’s got bright eyes, big ears, he’s getting things with a smile on his face and loving every minute of it. So as he came into the game today and I said 'This is right up your alley.' Big smile on his face. Let’s go, this is going to be good…For those guys to see a man that’s been around the block a couple of times still have that kind of enthusiasm, still have that passion? It’s infectious.”
