Only Love Can Break a Heart Gene Pitney  This week I am picking 7 songs from the WYRE top 40 list for the week of August 18, 1962  WYRE began as WILY playing African-American music.  In 1957 it changed to WEEP, a top 40 station, then in 1961 became WYRE, then went back to WEEP with a country music format. In the 90s it tried business talk and news and became WDSY-AM.  Currently is WWNL with a Christian format.
