*In case I am not able to provide an update about my dad on the blog Saturday, I want to provide an update here.
His surgery, on Friday, was scheduled for noon. He went in at 2:00 PM. The hope was a procedure that would clear his arteries of plaque from his left groin to his left foot. If that didn't work, a by-pass would be performed. Worst case scenario, he could lose his leg. Think he got out around 5:00 PM, the day was just so long.
The procedure worked like a charm, thank goodness. He is getting extremely good blood flow now to his left foot and the blood clot is also gone. He will be coming home on Saturday or most likely Sunday. We left around 9:00 PM and the anesthesia had not worn off and he still had no clue where he was or what was going on.
Thank you all for the well wishes and caring, that means a lot and pop liked it as well. As much as we argue here about the Pirates, we have a pretty damn nice family.
