This week instrumental hits of the 1940s. An Irving Berlin song introduced in the 1937 movie On the Avenue Les Brown made it a million-seller and Billboard top ten song in 1949. Les Brown and His Band of Renown were well known and the house band for the dean Martin show in the 1960s. Les Brown Jr. now runs the band.
