Billy Idol’s career started in 1976 as the lead singer of Generation X but his career really took off in 1981 when he moved to NY City and went solo. Hot in the City (`982) was his first chart hit and he had a string of hits into the early 90s. Still active, in 2023 he played the first concert ever held at the Hoover Dam.
