The Lettermen are a unique group. Formed in 1959 using a style that was more prominent in the 1930 and 40s they recorded 2 top singles, 10 top 10 singles on the adult contemporary chart, 32 consecutive Billboard chart albums, 11 gold records, and five Grammy nominations. The Lettermen still perform although Tony Butala, the last surviving member of the original group retired in 2019.
