The Pixies were formed in Boston in 1986. They were highly regarded alternative band having several top 10 songs on the alternative chart. They disbanded in 1993 and members did some solo projects. They reformed in 2003. They have been an active band since 2003 with only the bass player changing since 2016 when Kim Deal left the group.
