The Alan Parsons Project was active from 1975 to 1990. Themain group was producer, audio engineer, musician, and composer Alan Parsons and singer, songwriter, and pianist Eric Woolfson. Prior to forming the group Parsons was assistant engineer on the Beatles' albums Abbey Road (1969) and Let It Be (1970), engineered Pink Floyd's The Dark Side of the Moon (1973), and produced several acts for EMI Records. The group was consistently on the charts from 1978 through 1986. In addition to Parson and Woolfson thwere wweer some 30 people who made major contributions to their recordings over the years.
