Rory Gallagher is often called “the greatest guitarist
you've never heard of". In 1966 he
formed the blues rock band Taste. Taste
disbanded in 1970 and Gallager went solo.
Over his career he sold more than
30 million records worldwide. He developed several health problems in his 40s
and one of the prescribed drugs he took harmed
his liver. He died after complications
from a liver transplant on June 14, 1995,
at the age of 47.
